The Greatest Show On Earth
As well as being the home of road racing, the Isle of Man has much to offer visitors at any time of the year. Despite being fondly referred to as the ‘Rock’ by residents, the Isle of Man is actually approximately the same size as Ibiza and Singapore. Though with a lot less people, there’s plenty more space to enjoy yourself!
If the thrill of watching the motorcycle racers tackle the challenging Mountain Circuit once a year isn’t enough, there is also the Manx Grand Prix which is held towards the end of August. The ‘Manx’ has built up a reputation in recent years for offering a unique experience for visitors, very different to the TT and appealing especially to those with an interest in classic and vintage machines. Racing features classic classes as well as the more modern machines and TT stars of the future will often venture to the Manx Grand Prix before taking on the TT itself.
You can also travel at a slightly slower pace than the TT racers on our unique heritage railways – Manx Electric Railway, Steam Railway and Snaefell Mountain Railway.
